Spring 2016 collections are happening RIGHT NOW in New York City! As they happen we'll be posting our favorite runway makeup looks and what to use to achieve them! It's hard to wrap out head around spring trends as we launch in to fall but at least it gives us something to look forward to!
Fresh and neutral skin with a fun liner came down the runway at Monique Lhuillier! Yves Rocher just launched Botanical Color Eye Pencils in 14 shades. Getting this colorful lined look isn't going to get any easier than that! For a nude lip try MAC's new Vamplify lipgloss in Anything But Demure. For a fun color on the nails try Essie, they have TONS of color choices and some great new colors
A super simple bronzed look from far away but as you get up close you'll notice a lot of detail. Including the metallic liner. Anastasia Beverly Hills has some beautiful ones called Metallic Luster Liner that would be a great choice for this. For a pinky lip try MAC's Snob. It's my go to color to please most women who want a pink lip. To get quick tanned skin you'll need to bronze and highlight. Charlotte Tilbury has a duo called Filmstar Bronze & Glow, which is beautiful. For an extra tanned face try Vita Liberata's Rich Face, a tanning gel specifically for you face (I use it often with a stippling brush on specific areas of my face like hair line and cheeks for more of a sun kissed look).
I love a minimal face with a strong lip. Jason Wu's models were the extreme version with barely there makeup with a red lip. The look is gorgeous but outside of the runway it might not work. The quick fix, mascara! A great red lip pairs great with a bare eye with great lashes (a little nude eye shadow is nice too!). My favorite mascara at the moment is Rodial's Glamolash Mascara Skinny. For skin that has some coverage but still shows freckles try MAC's Face & Body. It's sheer (almost watery) and you can build it up with a few coats if you want more coverage. A nice red lipstick Is Elizabeth Arden's Bold Red! It's rich, creamy and super pigmented.
Diane Von Kurstenberg
This look has swarmed social media since the models hit the runway. It's totally 70s with a dual colour butterfly eye. Sugarpill Cosmetics makes a great palette called Sweetheart with an almost exact green and blue match. It also has a white shadow to help boost the color on the inner eye corner and under the brow. For a soft pink cheek try NARS Orgasm (a hugely successful blush). For a slightly glossy pink lip Kevyn Aucoin has a beautiful lipgloss called Cloudaine that will do the trick!
Keep checking back for more looks as they stomp down the runway!
